As a future IT professional, what do you think will be your contributions for the development of technology based on what you learned from college? Define each and state its implications towards our IT society and industry.

Idea is very powerful. Most of our subjects in college requires us to think of new, unique, innovative and helpful to community system ideas and turned it into reality. Using the skills honed from this training I will support in the development of innovative and modern system that will redefine IT experience.

In relation with that I will support and encourage future geeks who will carry the IT torch.
By guiding them, I do not only mean molding them to become expert IT professionals but also as future IT leaders who are responsible in using IT technology.

Along with the development of technology it is also important to always think of our environment. So in the future I want to be a green computing advocate to help Mother Earth.

“Everything changes” and so as our environment specifically, our technology. We need to do nothing but to adapt with it and let it take us where it wants to. Through college, I was taught about my chosen field much and with that, I think in the future I can do things which can contribute to the development of technology. I would suggest the following ideas as an information technology professional in the future. As technology developed, business is also running with it in the same course. Computer Networking for better business affiliations would do. According to dictionary, Computer Networking is a focus within engineering that deals with communication between computer systems or devices. With better communication using the systems, business with be much simplier than what we are using now.

Information technology professionals within an organization tend to work together in a team environment. Team members within an organization must learn to work together to complete a job. Professionals that make up this team may include systems analyst, information systems management, programmers, users and other specialists. In order to work well together, I must strive to communicate clearly and completely with its members. To achieve this Ill impose that members will have to trust and respect each other. Furthermore each member should put one’s own views second to the views of the group. The responsibility and accountability within a team should be shared, for success in a team environment.

Technology Educators

Many people warn of the possible harmful effects of using technology in the classroom. Will children lose their ability to relate to other human beings? Will they become dependent on technology to learn? Will they find inappropriate materials? The same was probably said with the invention of the printing press, radio, and television. All of these can be used inappropriately, but all of them have given humanity unbounded access to information which can be turned into knowledge. Appropriately used interactively and with guidance they have become tools for the development of higher order thinking skills.

Inappropriately used in the classroom, technology can be used to perpetuate old models of teaching and learning. Students can be "plugged into computers" to do drill and practice that is not so different from workbooks. Teachers can use multimedia technology to give more colorful, stimulating lectures. Both of these have their place, but such use does not begin to tap the power of these new tools.

Contribute your skills and knowledge and the future will be as brighter as your vision and mission in life.

Really Manage Your Time as a Student

USE YOUR FREE TIME WISELY: Now that you're able to know when you are free, why not take those times to study your work. You can study in intervals like take 15 minutes to do math and take another 15 minutes to do science. You can work it anyway you like, as long as you use this time devoted to your studies. Also, don't forget to make time for yourself. Go for a nice walk.
STAY ON TOP OF DUE DATES AND HOMEWORK: This is also very important. Go back to the calendar with all those commitments and meetings on it. Now look over your syllabi for each of your classes and mark what's due when. If you have a big paper coming up in two weeks, mark that on your calendar and but a big red circle around it. Also find the dates of any test, midterms, finals, etc. and also mark those down on your calendar in red. If you're caught up with your work, why not work ahead. Take time during week to get ahead on a chapter in a class. That way you'll have more free time to do other things you enjoy without worrying about failing a test or exam.

Discipline from oneself

My philosophy of how to build self-discipline is best explained by an analogy. Self-discipline is like a muscle. The more you train it, the stronger you become. The less you train it, the weaker you become. Just as everyone has different muscular strength, we all possess different levels of self-discipline. Everyone has some — if you can hold your breath a few seconds, you have some self-discipline. But not everyone has developed their discipline to the same degree. Just as it takes muscle to build muscle, it takes self-discipline to build self-discipline.

Almost 4 yrs. of learning new things about being an IT Professional I can say that it is not only the key for the steps you will take to get what is related to your course. You need also to take some trainings for the degree you have taken, this will keep your skills fresh to manage the work professionally. The following will be my contribution as an IT Professional based on my learnings from my college years:

1. Support FOSS

As an IT student you need to explore things in the internet or anywhere which is related to the field you have. And from that I learned about Free Open Source Software which is I myself is one of the beneficiaries of it. This help students like me to get what we need through the internet through the availability of its source code or somewhat we call free like downloading softwares which we can use for our studies. By supporting FOSS we can contribute for the development of technology in our society.

2. Support Green Computing

We are aware that every minute or every day new technology come out and encourage people to use it because of its features and advantages. As an IT students our life is engage on that matter and before that as a human we are responsible to protect and care our mother nature. By supporting Green Computing this will help lessen the materials used in some technology or machines which harm the environment.

3. Skills in Creativity

As what I learned in my college days, having the creativity to think is one of the key for you to be successful. All the people has this skills but most of them use it. I myself will use this skills for my contribution of being an IT Professional because this would help to develop new and brilliant technologies that is useful for our society. We should think widely or across the boundary for us to have a good product to come up.

4. Managing Skills

This skills is all about managing your time, managing your project and managing yourself or somewhat call discipline. This would help for the development of technology because if you become a project manager you need to cheer up and have a good preparation or plan for the project. By making it you need to manage also your time, every time you waste it deducts the confidence of the project and to prevent that you need to discipline yourself first before entering to that situation. And I can say that I can manage those skills and adopt all of those for the contribution of the development of technology to our society someday.

As a future IT professional, and as part of the society i think there a lot of things that i can contribute to the development of technology based on what i have learned from college. Technology is one most unstable form which keeps on changing for the comfort of mankind. Some technologies are designed exclusively for the destruction or environment, but most are designed for economic or ergonomic effects. Technology has been crucial part of human; most of the things that we use today are the advance form of primitive electricity, its all because of advancement of technology. The great benefits technology bring to us is obviously influence our lives anywhere, not only does the improvement of technology make our lives more comfortable, but also benefits human beings in various fields ,such as manufacture, medicine ,education, communication and so on.Firstly, development of technology have made many conveniences in our lives which is brought about thought the science and technology and our standard of lives becomes more and more high than it was in the past. And as for me, by using what i've learned in college, i can develop and maintain systems, software, programs that introduces modern features. For example, technology contributes to higher productivity and therefore lower cost and less labor. Where group of workers needed in past can now be accomplished by one single man controlled CAD or CAM machines lowering in cost of the commodity or services. Moreover, Internet, which is the most popular among young people, where we could find any kind of information with our keyword on search engines. And about electronic games they have made many people familiar with the real life experiences like the Flight Simulator which mimics the real experience of flying an airplane, as well as similar games on computer for those who couldn’t do physically. Apart from those Internet, which covers all over the world, one common benefits people can exercise is to communicate directly with someone on the other side of the world either through chatting or just talking or even by video conferencing.

As an IT professional someday, maybe the things that I can contribute are those ideas I learned while I’m studying. As an IT student I learned how to manage a certain task in order to succeed. Proper Management is really important. Aside from that I could advocate some suggestion that may help to the community.

Like a Star @ heaven Endorse Green Campus Computing:
I will endorse more on green technologies. Green technology eventually leads to creation of more sustainable energy-saving practices and an eco-friendly way is better communicated.

Like a Star @ heaven Promote FOSS:
I would also promote FOSS. Aside for being a free it is software that is liberally licensed to grant the right of users to use, study, change, and improve its design through the availability of its source code.
